We are living in very challenging and sad times, we are all being affected by Covid-19. However, it’s important that we keep going and remain positive and we try as much as possible to keep business as usual. And I know that’s definitely not easy.
I also would like to take this take this opportunity to thank you for your patience regarding the annual meeting for 2020. As you all know, we had initially planned to celebrate it in Singapore in April. For health and safety reasons, we decided to move the meeting into the US, some time between May and June. However, again, because of health and safety reasons, we decided to postpone our annual meeting and celebrate a joint annual and leadership meeting some time in November.
Today I would like to announce that our joint annual and leadership meeting 2020 will take place on November 16-20 in Houston, Texas. We know that Houston, like many other cities around the world and in the US, are currently being affected by Covid-19. But it is our hope that by November, the situation will be resolved.
We plan to open registration some time in early June, but we will keep monitoring the situation and take the best possible decisions to protect the health and safety of all our members and all our staff.
I look forward to seeing you all in Houston in November. I would like to ask you all to attend so that we can make this an unprecedented meeting, one of joy and hope, where we will stand up and keep going as an IP community and an IP family. Please stay safe, healthy and I look forward to seeing you all in November.
